Refund Policy


Back Ordered Item Cancellation Processing Fee

Items that are on back order are shown on the website. The accuracy of the manufacturer’s estimated back order time shown is NOT guaranteed in any way. When an order is placed, the customer has four business days to decide to cancel the order of a back ordered item without a 2.6% processing fee being removed from their refund. After the fourth business day, their payment will be captured. If the customer decides to cancel the order of a back ordered item after their payment has been captured and before the item is shipped, a 2.6% processing fee will be removed from their refund. If paid by wire transfer, a $25.00 processing fee applies, instead of the 2.6% processing fee, and the refund will be by company check. If paid by check, no processing fee applies. Installation Deposit Refunds

If the installation is canceled by the customer after equipment has been ordered and invoiced by the vendor to Lafayette Avionics, Inc., vendor required restocking fees will be paid with the customer’s $1,000.00 deposit. If any of the deposit is left after paying vendor required restocking fees, it will be reimbursed to the customer by Lafayette Avionics, Inc. company check. If the deposit was paid by credit card or debit card, the 2.6% card processing fees will not be refunded. If the deposit was paid by wire transfer, a $25.00 processing fee will not be refunded.

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the unopened original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, minus the restocking fee, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, except wire transfer, within 14 days. Wire transfer payments will be refunded by company check.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
